Thursday Night

First Christmas party of the season tonight at the Paddock Arcade as Bernier Carr hosted their annual soire. Lots of people there, many of them old friends.
I did my usual and brought a couple of kids gifts from School Daze. Try to promote educational stuff.
In the end I retreated over to Pete's to relax a bit before going in to work at the bar till closing. In the morning I have an 8AM meeting at City Hall, and the tree lighting tomorrow night.
I am definitely winding down and while there are some things I will miss, my friend Barry Ormsby said it best tonight.  Not being in office means you can attend the events you want to.

You can attend the events you want to even if you are in office. Its a safe bet the guy replacing you will skip many of the ones you went to.

Extreme, fuzzy and creamy kudos to Channel 7 news. Their continuing fawning over PC BS gives me tingles whenever I can catch one of their newscast. Tonight, they again led with the story of the nasty notes someone wrote up in Potsdam. I can't believe the world has come to this. Imagine, someone being so hateful that they would write dirty notes. Their second story was the news that the Liar in Chief's secretary of army stuff has decided that there will be no jobs closed to women. North Country's Finest (because there are no others)followed that up with interviews with two young gum chewing ladies at WalMart who just went gush over the decision. And I thought those decisions were based primarily on physical abilities. They have admitted women into Ranger school, but few have successfully completed it. I'm reminded of the equally panty gushing decision that allowed all soldiers to wear berets. That too used to be based on training and assignment. It's like all the little tykes getting trophies at skoool, even if they lost every game and didn't learn a thing. Here's your trophy, little person of undecided gender designation. Channel 7, cutting edge stuff.

Where is the new elect Mayor? Did he and his family go to Florida for the Winter?

I am most concerned about Kubis. His energy was LOW at 11pm last night. Seemed distant. Did not even comment on what was going on back when the low was established in Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-Twooo. And no mention of what San Fran was checking in with.

Was he sacked just before going on-air?

12:33, get used to it. The voters decided to keep that job open. There's nobody home. That will be the new reality.
