The Beat Goes On

The conviction of Senator Dean Skelos was barely announced and Albany had scrubbed itself of his name. A felony ends his Senate tour and all signs on his office and on the Senate website were quickly gone.
Attention now shifts to his vacant Long Island seat where Democrats are hoping Assemblyman Todd Kaminsky can grab the seat and flip control in the Upper House. Republicans will fight to hold it.

Sheriff Kevin Wells is making a stand in the sand against the SLC board of legislators. Even though they just filled two positions the Sheriff seems to be saying he runs the show up here and they better get used to it.. I feel they have to make a compromise in these terms. If the Sheriff feels the mid-night shift is needed then so be it. Take the undersheriff and move him to evenings along with a detective. Move two three oclock deputies to midnights along with another detective. Now instead of having all supervisors on one shift this spreads them outsomewhat..
Just a suggestion folks.. Also the Sheriff has a employee who is assigned to him to help with budgets and financial problems. She apparently has been reporting to everyone but the Sheriff on how to cut the department. Thats not cool at all.

What are the people to do? Criminality permeates both parties. But if the Senate goes Donkey, Benito will be able to completely control our lives. We have the most corrupt state in the nation. Be proud.
