Over 5000 Crowd Square for Parade.

Great weather  spurred thousands to attend the City's Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting. Everyone enjoyed the event, seeing Santa, and kicking of the holiday season.
Local choral groups entertained and downtown businesses were busy.
I stopped in The Crystal for a Tom and Jerry and MC'd the event.
This was my last lighting of the tree as Mayor, but I look forward to being there next year as  a spectator. The Christmas spirit really revs up following an evening like this.

Channel 7 had it, then lost it during the countdown. Not real high end production, boys and girls. They missed the tree lighting. Can't we have a more professionally run station? Some people can't get out of their homes to attend something like this.

Channel 7 news needs to refresh its image , presentation, energy and step up its very stodgy ,stale and time worn product .

I am not deliberatly being mean or personal but The product requires new , fresh ,higher energy faces as anchors if the news is ever going to compete with streaming at all.
