NY Times: Emanuel Must Go

As a man used to the corridors of power, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel faces a serious challenge to staying there.
The Times opines for his resignation hours after the Mayor fired his police czar over the unfolding and outrageous coverup of the shooting death of a teen by a city cop now facing a murder charge.
It appears the coverup was not merely the blue line but also the mayor's reelection campaign last winter and spring.  Chicago media has a bit of a black eye on this as well. It was an independent journalist who pursued in the courts the release of the dash cam tape.
Also the $5M paid to the family with no questions and no suit filed should have been a red flag.
It's amazing how long this was kept covered up.

We wouldn't expect anything less from a key player of the Obama administration.

What has happened to the moral fiber of our country????

Degrading that he would use the death of the teen that happened to be on drugs and was wielding a knife at the officer. Yes it was excessive force but having Emanuel use this as campaign fodder will always be known as coining the phrase "never let a crisis go to waste"

Enough is enough of these corrupt pols dividing the country with hate. Here in NY the Mayor DeBlasio uses the same tactics pitting the police against the blacks.

We have seen enough of Obama, his former AG and now current AG who refuses to admit the wrought they have brought onto America. When are Americans going to take a stand?

The stink about how this was handled is absolutely justified, and you know Pres. Obama went and campaigned for the Mayor last election; and you have to wonder if President Obama kept DOJ (Dept. of Justice) off Mayor Emanuel's back long enough to get him re-elected. This is going to turn into a fire storm! Mike Flynn 'Middle Class Mike'

That Fox New sure is something to be afraid about, 8:56. It would be better if we just depended on MSNBC and the like. Then people like you could sleep more soundly. I feel your pain.
