NY falls farther behind Florida in population

New York continues to suffer from out-migration but the population is still edging upward, although the Empire State is the nation's fourth most populous and destined to stay there for the foreseeable future, only because number 5 Illinois is seven million back.

CA, TX and FL are solid in their spots.  NY has roughly 19.8M people.

This can't be true. Last election cycle NY21 told us the exodus from NY was a myth. Remember that NY21? It's either time for an apology, or an admission that you lied, or both. We can't really blame him. He was just doing as he was told. You there, NY21?

Just the same thing Nelson has said about the population in Oberg over the years . From sixteen thousand in the seventies to just about ten thousand now.. Graduating a class of about 90 used to be over 200..
I wont blame anyone but things that have happened over the years that helped.
A. Urban renewal what a disaster
B. Arterial built around our city.
C. Ferry boat ended.. Used to fill up every day
D. All manufacturing jobs left town because ecomomy over the years and the disappearance of the Railroad throughout the county.
e. Prisons came to Oberg which helped to locaL ECONOMY but started the decay of the inner city which was never addressed by council
f. City fought with retailers constantly preventing any thought of expansion
g. City started allowing the fire and police unions to start writting their own contracts.
Nelson wants to forget these facts however they are true and I,m sure many more could be added.
Hopefully the new mayor and council will do a much better job

Florida's income taxes are lower. It's a no-brainer.

Florida's taxes on everything are lower. Unless you're living off the system in some manner, NY is not the place to be. It's a shame.
