GOP Rep. Richard Hanna plans to retire at end of term (video) | syracuse.com

A moderate voice in the House GOP caucus is retiring and that opens the door for Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney who mounted a strong primary challenge to Rep. Richard Hanna in 2012.
Rep. Hanna will formalize his announcement at a presser tomorrow.  The Utica based district has been held by Democrats and Rockefeller Republicans like Sherwood Boehlert and Mr. Hanna.
Democrat Michael Arcuri held the seat for two terms before Mr. Hanna won it back for the GOP.
This could be a competitive race next year, although you have to label Ms. Tenney the early frontrunner.

She has the Conservative party in her pocket. She has ran and lost more races than most but that puts in her name in the press all the time
