2016 Getting Started in 2015

Lot of intrigue today in the 116th Assembly race as C turned R  Russ Finley announced on Channel 7 his intent to run for the GOP and Conservative lines. Other names include John Byrne, Phil Reed, Carolyn Fitzpatrick and a couple others. Over on the A-line , one connected SLC mayor told me things may not be as they seem on the Democratic side after the last election.

Addie's going to lose her seat.
You might as well take it.

No, I don't think so, 7:28. Shelly's maid has been milking her base big time of late. And Finley will do what he did last time, split the vote. Nope, NYC still has their NNY babe to have fun with. At our expense.

728.. Only when she gives it up.. Look at what the Republicans have to run against her.

Reed is all talk and Fitzpatrick will parade around flipping her hair as if she is most sought after candidate, Byrne has the resources, Finley can't win Jeff Co and it is a Presidential year. Addie even as much as Albany types dislike her, she wins, easy to predict.

Justin Taylor might jump in!

Ousting an incumbent is a real uphill fight ... but around here, who knows? Performance in office vs. political party enrollment - no contest, right?

Hey right, right????

Reed couldn't stick with the Chamber cuz he was too integral to his current post. Fitz - nah - she doesn't play well out of the COunty lines.

I like Taylor - he has the ethics issue already solved and reconciled.

I am a person that gets out and travels and meets people on a daily basis. I get to talk to alot of people about different topics one of which is Addie Russell.. Very few and I mean very very few people dont like Addie and the job she is doing. The ones that dont have various reasons which mostly concerns party politics.. Only on this blog do I see a genuine concern about her as a person and her as a represenative, which makes it obvious to me and other s its only a few possibly as little as three or four that have real concerns. Noticing that it all comes over from anom on this blog with the exception of Mike or Dan I dont think its anything for her to be concerned about.. Like some I talked to say she at least is in the majority and is more likely to get bones thrown her way than for instance Blankenbush who accomplishes nothing and says less..
I guess I,m old fashion in thinking but if you are going to make snoddy and untrue opinions of yours public why not sign your names to it instead of the cowards way anon... Anon is good most of the time but not on personal attacks.

Justin Taylor was defeated by a 2 to 1 loss to a political neophyte, even after taking credit for just about everything positive along the river. No, he won't run. He has no base. One of Clayton's businesspersons let the word slip out at Taylor's retirement soiree that Mr. Taylor has purchased the Jenny Craig franchise for Jefferson County and will be setting up shop in the Key Bank building.

With the chance of Hillary Clinton picking a running mate Named Cuomo reasonably good its now rumored that our old assembly woman DeDe Sco may run for the NYS Senate next year against Ritchie is now much greater than before. If this happens it certainly will be an interesting battle.
The NNY mayor refered to before must be Currier and I see him going nowhere real fast.

Hard to believe, but the depth of the republican field is more shallow than the dems. Byrne? Luke-warm at best. Party jumper Finley? Since he ruined the last race, not a chance. Oh, and Phil Reed? No name recognition. Face ot we're stuck with Addie and Paty.

Bob McNeil is being encouraged by locals in the Lisbon area to make a run. He would be well funded and is a very popular canidate choice. Surely no rookie when it comes to political office he probably would make an excellent choice for the Republicans to make.. Guarenteed Hank Ford backed and would give Addie a run for her money. There is no other Republican in SLc that could gather the support Bob could, including a very popular Sheriff and Lead Legislator.

If John Byrne is the only option, might as well stick with Addie. At least she has some of her own thoughts. Byrne is a politician, not a leader.

Me me me aka Carolyn Firzpatrick

11:42 - Russ, at least hide your IP address if you're going to comment about Byrne. I hope you win the primary so you can run back to Lisbon with your tail between your legs after Addie Dearest rolls you like a wheelbarrow.
