Doomed from the start...not a good choice at all by the city. The only ones who didn't see this coming. Let's pray that the hockey team still has a fighting chance.

First Privateers, then the Wolves, now the Bucks. Who saw that coming???

First off the whole thing started off with two strikes against them. Strike three was the poor quality ball being played. The reasonably priced tickets made it a good afternoons entertainment just the same, but none of the teams were very good.

I find it interesting that things were fine until "pro" ball showed up. If the city is considering finding another team, do not let Parks and Recs in on this process. This would be a nice project for the new mayor and council. How about bringing back Mr. Simmons? He knew how to operate a team and brought in fans and had a nice product.

How many losing baseball teams have to fold there before they call it quits?Meanwhile, the red and black is relegated to out back by the shit plant.Put in a decent turf field, suitable for football and lacrosse, and offer it to area schools that would like to play a game at the fairgrounds now and then.

This is the same thing that has gone on for years. Some businessmen pretend they are doing something for the community. Then they sell out their little "gift" and make some money. Indian givers. How's that for un PC? But it's true. All we do is fix up the stadium for them.

Call Mr. AAMCO and family, and get them back onto the game.

How about we get behind the one time that HAS lasted in watertown...... The Red and Black.

The ole Red and Black...pick up adult league football. No thanks, I will continue to support the hockey and baseball programs (if they continue). Players that are looking to make it...not make it to the bar. Baseball was just fine. So was hockey. Maybe the city should look in the mirror.

take a poll and you will find the majority of tax payers DO NOT want to subsidize any sports activities at the fair grounds. Everything going on down there should be SELF SUPORTING .

they are. the city does not want higher level athletics nor do they deserve it. sad state of affairs.
the big arena upgrade will backfire.
