NY Post: Albany Protection Racket Right Out of Goodfellows

With the trials of the big two in Albany in motion, there is another chance for hand wringing about the corruption in the capital.
Pressure to hire Dean Skelos' son to a job he is not qualified for.  Is that corruption or is it life ?
There is so much as stake in terms of state money and regulatory laws and interpretation, there will always be efforts to gain access and influence.
Where the line is crossed into corruption is something juries are now being asked to decide.

This reminds me of when Butler got his job at Drum. In what way was he qualified for that job? Even if he was, who would believe there are not a thousand people in the area who were much more qualified?

I say it quite often, Albany should slip into the Hudson and float all of the political excrement downriver, where it came from.

Good article... Patty Ritchie recieved massive support back when she run against Aubertine. Most of this support and money came from Skelos and Tom Libous who has been found guilty and lost his Senate seat.. There was a NNY outcry for Addie Russell to do the right thing and return the money that Vito Lopez had given her (which she did( yet Patty Ritchie seems to have been given a pass. The WDT and Mr Johnson seem to be showing that its OK for Ritchie to reap in the benefits of corruption.
If one does a little more investigating you will find at least one paving company from Pennsylvania donated the maximum amount to her campaign a company that does much business with Dean Skelos.. Mr Doheny from Watertown has also donated greatly a couple of times.
Will Mr Johnson look into this and print articles of this in the near future..

That would include the politicans themselves 754.. Patty Ritchie is not a bad person shes just led by bad people.. She reaps in the benefits of their corruption and does it without a sense of wrongdoing. Unlike Ms Russell who did the right thing

Patty isn't a bad person for a Democrat. Everyday, we read about another free stuff grant she is handing out. Grants for important stuff, like...a self congratulatory stone monument in the middle of Thompson Park. She is in until she decides not to be. No democrat could run further left than she already is.
