The use of chemical weapons is becoming increasingly evident in war torn Syria, with claims of up to 1300 dead in a series of attacks this week. Gruesome scenes hit the world media and the "red line" President Obama referred to a year ago seems crossed.
Children were among the dead in these raids, and there is now international clamoring to do something, but so far the Assad regime seems emboldened and confident there are no consequences to these actions.
Supports of the regime say the attacks were staged to shame the government.
