Monday night off from city business as its the final Monday of the month....Today I got the STAR exemption secret code in the mail and registered on line....I had to assert I make under $500K a year. I was able to affirm that with a clear conscience.
Looks like a slow week coming up as summer grinds to an end but at least its raining which helps city hydro production !
I hear there are a lot of signs going up for Council candidate Stephen Jennings and in front of good addresses.....some in the Town of Watertown, but it seems to me he doesn't have to be too vocal as the dog whistle has been sounded.
Candidate Cody Horbacz is holding a community picnic at Thompson Park on Saturday September 7 from 11 to 3. He holds a meet and greet at 4pm at the Time Warp Tavern on State Street.
Candidate Borreggine has a visit to the Times for an E-Board meeting and I haven't heard what the other candidates are doing, not that they have any obligation to tell me. (In the interest of transparency I do visit the Brew-Ha-Ha daily)
I am looking forward to fall and especially this Saturday's grand opening at Caprara Harley in Adams Center ! I am planning to go Saturday at 1 and urge everyone to head out and say hi to Billy and the crew. Heard Pete's is closed Sunday....Guess its a trip to Appleby's for me as they say they have Wi-Fi.
Oh and I heard the Symbionese Liberation Army was in town today to bust a fraternal club for using volunteer workers to sell pull-tabs...That and hammering Trump University the same day...A days work for Albany.
