WDT: Money for Paper Mills and Gin Mills....What a Great Country

When pizza parlors started getting government loans, I knew my day was not far off....Bars are now getting "sink or swim" loans from the County IDA and local lending agencies.
Even those doing the loaning say it's very risky, the Lake Ontario Playhouse in Sackets is getting money loaned to them....Now, first off, I like Mike Kinnie and respect he has tried to slug it out in a tough industry even when the system tried mightily to screw him.
Bars are a tough business. Just ask the operators of the State Street joint shut down this week.  I've been through some very tough times and always assumed the public would not tolerate gin mills getting loans...Two of them have in the past year.
I am just cantankerous enough to test the tolerance of the system by asking for one myself.  After all, I am an important anchor in a challenged census tract.

if it moves...charge it with illegal gambling.
If it still moves...try to take its beer license.
If it quits moving...subsidize it.
