Crazy stuff in nearby Herkimer as a 64 year old gun man killed four and wounded two and now police are searching for him.
Governor Cuomo was on the scene as the Mohawk Valley community was gripped with fear and on lock-down.

We aspire to something better:

I'm quite sure this is a fabricated story because the New York SAFE act was enacted to prevent stuff like this from happening.
A 64 year old man with no mental health problems and several legal guns. I for one don't know what law would stop the man from doing just what he did. There really is no way to tell when this can happen or why. Unless all of a sudden we do find out he had problems and they were not addressed. Still from what is in the story he was a stable person and had always been so. It is a big problem for the state on how to deal with this kind of crime. This dude looks like he doesn't fit into the peg board that the law set out to fill. How do you police people who have no record, go to the store for milk all the time without even fighting with their sister, and seem normal? You can say limit guns all you want. But even in this case, he burned all of them up but one shotgun. He only needed one hunting gun. I don't know the answers.

How is all your "aspiring" bs going to help you when, God forbid, someone pulls a gun on you or someone you love the next time you are in a barbershop minding your own business. Oh wait, we can protect ourselves by hanging a "gun free zone" sign in all public places, yes, that is the answer. Problem solved.
To state the obvious...
This incicdent makes Cumo look even more foolish than he did when his comptroller and Syracuse mayor called him out for his pension raid gimmick.
The safe act did nothing to prevent this crime and would have done nothing to prevent every other gun crime to date. But it did trample on peoples rights to own defensive weapons. And it cost Cuomo some "political capital". I suppose he thinks he can just borrow some more from our children.
