There was some blowback to Governor Cuomo's visit to Herkimer in the wage of the shooting spree that left four dead when a 64 year old nut let loose.
Some residents of this pro-gun county where many work at the nearby Remington Arms Plant suggested the Governor was grandstanding the gun control issue while Mr. Cuomo's office said he was there to show his sorrow for the communities loss.
You decide.

Show his sorrow as it was happening. Offensive grand standing. Sad...
He left when he found out it was a shotgun., and not an "Assault weapon".
Did he say anything about guns? And if he hadn't had gone, would he be accused of not caring? WWTMD (What Would The Mayor Do?).
Obama was tactful enough to wait a few days before showing up at Newtown. But he was not tactful enough to not to suggest taking away gun rights when he spoke at the service.
Maybe if Cuomo cared, he should have showed up at the Great Northern Mall, where a woman was kidnapped and stabbed to death and her 10 year old daughter was raped.
He is just a publicity hound.
Good point 9:01am
It was throwing a rock on the waters and seeing how big the ripple would get. Realize he knows that he hurt his popularity in NY. He now needs to know how much and where it goes from here. I would not be surprised if someone hit the phones right after he made his trip to see where the numbers are today. He is now the numbers Governor.
You're absolutely correct 9:01.
Since a person can only use ONE knife at a time, we need to make it a crime for anyone to possess more than two. Also, nothing larger than a 3" blade and it must be kept in the house. The 20-piece Ginzu knife sets will now be classified as 'Assault Knives' and their late-night infomercials will be banned as well.
There...I just single-handedly prevented the next stabbing.
If they come after my knife collection Max....
