As pointed out, the gushing coverage of Governor Cuomo from years one and two is receding just a bit as Fred Dicker has taken another shot at the Governor's practices. This one a case of pension double dipping by the head of the State Police, even though there had been a pledge of sacrifice at the beginning of the Administration.
The Times Union had run a piece earlier this week suggesting the Governor was out of gas and had lost interest in fighting with the Legislature.
None of this means Mr. Cuomo is in any trouble politically, but its evidence the era of good feeling is winding down.

You are shedding some light on it with this:

What is happening is that the MSN does not feel the need to campaign for him anymore. They never had "good feeling" about him. they just knew he was the most viable democrat and they couldn't win with Paterson. And so they embarked on a 24/7/365 image advertising campaign for Cuomo. they now fell he is comfortable unbeatable.
Make no mistake...if a repu8blican candidate comes out of the woodwork who is not easy to put down like Crazy Carl was, the MSN love fest will start up in full swing again.
