Miner: Andy's Pension Plan is a "Gimmick" OUCH !

Salt City Mayor Stephanie Miner is either making a name for herself as an independent, truth teller......or she is crippling her political future by taking on Governor Cuomo and calling his pension "smoothing" plan a "fiscal gimmick".
Mayor Miner is raising Democratic eyebrows with her op/ed piece this week rapping Albany's actions that imperil local finances.
Ms. Miner is also the co-chair of the NYS Demcratic Party.

She IS telling the truth. Now it will be interesting to see how the party liners explain away this. Her logic also relates to the Great Liar in Washington, not only our little dictator in Albany. Now what's a Mikey to do? Is she progressive? Is she honest? She IS a woman, so you'll have to weigh that into your blather. She young and smart, that's for sure. We can't blame George Bush, or Dick Cheney. Dannie can't blame Fox News. What's a Mikey OR a Dannie to do? The woman has called out our dictator as an obamatalker. Such decisions.

At least she didn't call it back door borrowing...that was another democRAT.

Its its a lot easier to tell the emperor he has no clothes when he is ugly and has the speaking voice of a deaf mute. Andy can't flash an Obama smile or wink and point you into his heart.

There's a lot more wrong than only that which she covered. For one, prevailing wage laws that ridiculously balloon any public construction projects.

And is certainly feeling hos oats - add a couple more spending plans that increase local mandates and he'll kill his party upstate.

NYS is ready for a female governor...or soon will be.

Cuomo spends money like a woman...
ain't that good enough?

C'mon Mikey, waddle in to this conversation. Tell us which one is lying. Just go to some site that has a good party line explanation, copy it, and post it here.

Shakespeare’s Brutus is a Syracuse Mayor:

"How cruel the Political dagger in the back of Andrew Cuomo, should have been thrust by his trusted Party co-chairwoman, Stephanie Miner, who called it not a dagger thrust into thy leader, but just a strong political disagreement." I say, "After Ms. Miner's career as Mayor soon ends, she'll make and excellent car saleswoman." If she can sell a political dagger in the back, as a wonderfully robust political disagreement, she can sell a boat load of cars. I know talent when I see it.

Does the Political dagger thrust in the back of Gov. Cuomo by Ms. Miner; have Hillary Clinton's name on it? Enquiring minds want to know.

I hope to God that you don't mean Hill.

Just like I said. Throw a bone to the state unions and dance the dance.

Well...
There you have it. Mikey chimed in and with his political priorities. It doesn't matter that the good mayor has spoken the truth about baby Cuomo's reckless budget. What matters is that she thrust a dagger into Caesar's back. And worse is that it might benefit a woman.

She should never disagree with Cuomo. Especially because she is a woman and is probably doing it to benefit another woman named Hillary. Could not possibly be because her city is in financial ruin and will get worse if Cuomo's pension scam is enacted.

What could a woman possibly understand about finances? That's a mans expertise, right Mikey?

Good thing women don't vote for Republicans because Republicans have a war on women going on.

From Capitol Tonight: “Syracuse Council Member To Cuomo: Sorry Syracuse Common Council Member Patrick Hogan, a Democrat who is seen as a potential primary challenger to Mayor Stepahnie Minor this year, sent a letter to Gov. Andrew Cuomo today expressing “profound regret” for her Times op/ed that was critical of the governor’s pension smoothing proposal

From the Hogan letter:

“Instead of being critical of State government, perhaps, the Mayor should bring all parties together citizens, labor, management, business, as well as, all other stakeholders in the community to find solutions to the problems facing our city. You have renegotiated labor contracts, downsized the workforce and reduced spending in state government. We must do the same.”

I think Coucilman Patrick Hogan is right on with his pointing out the maybe Mayor Miner should do her job as Mayor, and let the Governor do his for NYS.

I agree with Mikey. The woman should shut her yap and bring Cuomo a sammich.

It doesn't matter that virtually everything the mayor's city is forced to spend money on is directed by Albany and Duombo. That squaw needs to get back on the reservation. Her opinion on the Albany crap that effects her is best kept to herself.

It doesn't matter that Cuombo made no cuts or pension reforms, because Mikey says he did. Just like his tax cut that was a tax increase, reality doesn't matter.

Vote democrat! (its the only way to keep women in their place.)

First way to solve the Rep's problems is to stop the feeding on each other. A eats B and then try's to eat C. It never ends till the Dems realize they have won. It happened in the race for President. It took so long to get a front runner out and ready that O had plenty of time to take the prize. When you put up a bunch of fighting boys for the most important job in the nation, well you loose.
