Kelly Wins Dem. Nod For Ex-Rep. Jackson Jr.’s Seat « CBS Chicago

A woman with a grade of "F" from the NRA has won the Democratic primary and likely the Congressional seat held by disgraced (in some minds) former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.
Robin Kelly won the nomination easily with lots of money help from NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
While Ms. Kelly has to face a Republican in April, the overwhelming Democratic district should hold and she will be a Member of Congress.

Mayor Bloombergs Gun Control advocating C-Pac draws first blood in new political season. Well NNY gun nuts, what do you think of that people?

Well, Well, Well. Quite the primary election. The billionaire who spent millions to stop gun violence in this country beat out the billionaire gun manufacturing Koch brothers, who backed the NRA.

Hooray! Sometimes good does overcome evil. Let's have more of it!

Another reason I greatly dislike Bloomberg or any other billionaire ... not their money, per se, but the laws that they use to pour millions to buy an election and that is exactly what he did here ... and what Adelson and the Koch bros tried to do in 20121.

Money does not always win, but it sure keeps out in many cases better candidates and a balance of ideas ... a local race in Il with millions from NY - you don't see something wrong with that?

And, please don't try to pass it off as "his free speech" it is a heluva lot more than that.

Come on Danny, the difference between Bloomberg and the Koch Bros. is Bloomberg will not profit one dime from his donations.

On the other hand, the Koch Bros. are using the NRA to influence legislation so they can profit from selling more guns.

If you don't believe me, Google: A.L.E.C. and the NRA.

ANON 3:34 makes a great point. One guy (Bloomberg)is acting to make our society less gun crazy. Th e Koch Bros just want to make our Country a open market for gun sales of any type. Big difference here.

Bloomberg was shooting a machine gun into a dead corpse. He could have won it for her with a hundred dollar donation.

No billionaire comes even close to canceling out the trillions worth of libnrul propaganda put out by Letterman, SNL Leno, The View, CBS, NBC,ABC etcetera.

I wonder what Danny the hypocrite thinks of Springsteen, Bon Jovi and others donating millions worth of fund raising to Obama? That's probably just free speech to Danny's hypocrite ears. I wonder what he thinks of Oprah inviting Obama on her show for the 08 election but refusing to have his opponents on her show.
That's probably just an artist prerogative in Danny's blind eyes.

NRA will be political poison by 2014, and won't it be fun watching Republicans getting some distance from NRA types.
