County to Call for Repeal of SAFE

The Jefferson County Legislature's General Services Committee is expected to approve a resolution opposing the SAFE Act....New York's new gun control law.
This week lawmakers in Oswego County voted 25-0 urging repeal of the measure.
These 'sense of the body' resolutions are largely window dressing, as the Legislature in Albany is unlikely to revisit the matter..
However, it will be interesting to see how all this plays out in next year's gubernatorial race. While Governor Cuomo is a shoo-in for a second term, he will likely take some grief from a Paladino-like candidate.

Not too sure of a second term, Cuomo may have stepped in it this time.

You're right Jeff, Albany won't revisit it. Little Mussolini has the support of many of his uninformed and freightened minions. History repeats itself. So many fine things can by done when people are stupid. And it helps when you suspend our laws and pass things in the middle of the night. I hope he puts out a campaign poster with him folding his arms and bobbing his head, just like the orginal.

That would require an alternative, 6:12. And media will destroy any alternative. That's their job here in the Democratic Empire State.

The vote was 25-zip. Jefferson and Lewis Co the same or close. Gee Mikey, I thought you told us the new law had widespread support? Guess that only applies to NYC and the progressive Democrats around the state. And not a lot of thinking Democrats at that. You go little Benito. You are now a national joke. You ARE the MADDDNEESSSSS INNN NUUUUU YYYAAAWWWWKKKKKKKKKKKK.

I see it one way. He can do about anything he wants in the next few months and still win. Because he knows the way it all works. Throw a bone to the state unions and dance the dance.

Cuomo is a shoe in. Whomever runs against him will do something terrible like drink from a water bottle while giving a speech, or use the word binder. Then it will be freestuff victory again. We can borrow some more from the pension fund again. No harm cus that works for SS just fine...so far.

This is a list of the Republicans that voted in favor of the law. All NYC, Long Island buddies. And one lone sap from Buffalo.

One guy from Buffalo: Mark Grisanti
Two from NYC: Andrew Lanza and Marty Golden
Eight from LI: Dean Skelos, Phil Boyle, Carl Marcellino, Chuck Fuschillo, Ken LaValle, Jack Martins, John Flanagan and Kemp Hannon.

Here's why the law made no one safe.

First, there are many more women out there raising kids alone because dead beat fathers are allowed to still be dead beats. The family unit is gone. The lady in question wasn't smart enough to take care of the man in question that grew up wrong. Or never grew up, because he wasn't able to. She let him have everything he wanted to keep him happy. The father sat in another city pretending everything was great. Then they both created a moron to release on the world. There are many more out there waiting to spring out of the next.

Second, no thugs who have the over 7 round clips and guns that are now not legal will turn them in. They will break the law and continue to break the law. Only good people will be forced to turn them in to stay crime free. People who would never have had a problem in the first place.

Third and last, the law did not include gun safety. The lady in question had none. She left the guns all around for anyone to grab and use. Including the moron son. She will still be here today with one purchase. Gun trigger locks. Or a gun safe that she was only allowed into. Why didn't the law include anything about people being made to be accountable for their belongings? I have a knife collection. It doesn't sit out in the living room for all to enjoy.

I hope they get some kind of repeal, at least let the Gov. know we are not happy. I see a 25-0 vote in Oswego, that is telling. That means 25 county reps were told by the voters to do something.

Hey if nothing happens, well so be it. But remember no one will be any more safe then before. The world didn't change because some feel good laws were passed in Albany.

Gun-Friendly States are wooing Remington Arms. The people of the Mohawk Valley should be nervous. It would be a pretty bad hit for that area if Remington Arms relocated out of state.

The Michigan state Senate is in the committee process for passing a Firearms Freedom Act, which would exempt manufacturers of firearms from federal regulation.

Oklahoma offers several incentives — such as tax breaks for a business that buys real estate — to attract industry to the state.

Other states tout a gun friendliness that simply makes it easier for manufacturers such as Remington Arms to do business — and that’s made some area people nervous.

These are some of the offerings that state officials from Michigan, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Arizona and Texas have given in letters to Remington Arms in the wake of New York passing the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act.

I heard also that some of the companies are not in a rush to fill orders on ammo and guns for the state of NY.

And the anti gun control party keeps digging a bigger hole and discouraging anyone from wanting to be a Tea Party Republican nut member and proud owner of twelve or more illegal guns.

Puke on you all

What's wrong with owning more then one of anything. I own more then one shirt and pants. I own more then one car, God knows in the wrong hands a car is deadly. I own several pens. I could take a life with a pen. I could sign an order to send a drone plane attack on a village in the Middle East, okay not me. But their are people in this messed up world who can just decide a whole villages fate by signing a order to destroy them. Do we say that person has to many pens? Maybe he or she does? Look at the world with your eyes, not CNN's. Or Fox's. Your eyes. Because no one in the so called safe for us government is ever going to bring to light what they did last night or who they injured just by signing a order with a pen.

What the heck is Crazy Ray talking about, is there a translater available? Ray are you a relative of Crazy Carl's? Try making some sense will you and quit wasting my time.

The 6 million we gave Remington Arms should keep them here, lets not forget Otis technolgy, weve given them plenty of taxpayers $$$$$$$ for there products...

Ray, the problem with owning more than one gun is that it increases the chances you will fend off someone or kill them while they are attacking you. And that criminal you kill would invariably be a democrat voter.

Just to clear something up for the libtard free$shit people,
When you give $$$$$$ for "there" products...
its called "buying their product"
