One of the real success stories in Watertown is Stream International in downtown.
The call center firm is planning a $4M enhancement to its location in the former City Center Mall. That will mean continued employement there.
This has been a job opportunity for many and for those who stick with it, a good opportunity.

No they are planning it, we are paying for it.
Pretty high turnover.
Last time Stream stole all the fast food workers by offering a quarter more per hour, my drive though orders kept getting screwed up for two months.
Remember when it was being built and it was going to be the workers will support downtown lunch business???? Wrong again there is an on-site lunch counter........Nice we can support them with more FREE MONEY.
Call center work is neither skilled labor nor much over minimum wage work. As one poster said probably just marginally better than working in a fast food emporium. this employment while commendable will neither HOLD our better educated students or grads here .
Its is ok but NOT what is needed to retain our BEST and Brightest .
More Corporate Welfare from the "Don".
