Council Supports Woolworth Project

City Council will act in two weeks on a motion of support for the developers of the Woolworth Building. Lawmakers are supportive of a request to provide land for parking and agree to a tax deal.
The building received a boost today as it was learned the NY Restore  grant has been increased back to its original $2.5M.
Council also approved a zone change on Coffeen Street for parcels east of Sboro's Restaurant. A special use permit was defeated for a Morrison Street parcel.

How many parking spaces is the Iron Block site going to provide in relation to the number of apartments the developer is planning?

I am all for the Woolworth Building project, but Councilwoman Burns has no right voting on anything...she should be forced to resign since she is not intelligent enough to resign on her own.

Thank you Mayor Graham and City Council members for not approving a special use permit for Morrison Street. Thanks for listening about our concerns.

The big question....

Do these people have the rest of the 10 mill they need to put the building back together? Or are they looky-loes?

Hard to imagine you turned down the Morrison st permit Mayor. But then again, the business owner should have just started running the business without looking for approval. You guys have a record of ignoring violations!
