Did NBC break the DC gun law for dramatic impact ? Sure sounds like it, although one might say the law is too broad if something like this results in prosecution of David Gregory. I mean its not like he's a Plaxico Burris , is he ?

Personally, I can forgive David Gregory for holding a gun magazine on national television. What I can’t forgive is this:

Wasn't this the same network that doctored the film of that guy who killed that black dude? And this is a network our friend Dannie holds out as being honest?
Laws are not meant to be followed by the people that promote them. Like raising taxes and Danny paying more taxes...they are mutually exclusive ideas.
The people that want the right to own guns and guns with big clip capacity, want them to protect themselves.
And the people that want to have freedom of the press want it to...help stop people from being able to protect themselves by demonizing the gun. How can he demonize the gun without the free speech right to show the clip? he would be left to making a logical argument instead.
Lock the big goon up, just to make an example of him. Then go after all the other clowns in D.C.
Tell that to the marine that was arrested for possessing a couple of 9mm bullets (no gun, no magazine) when he checked into Walter Reed for a followup appointment.
A lot of urban legend going on here. Authorities are going to need discretion when they start collecting assault weapons and ammo. It will take some intelligence to tell what is a threat and what isn't. An empty banana clip is not a threat.
Some idiot barricading his house and screaming stuff about "my cold dead hands", now that could be a threat.
Will the news reader now shoot someone to demonstrate how dangerous weapons are? He can always claim freedom of the press if he does.
That is the only amendment that is sacred isn't it?
Other reports say the network had permission to display the magazine/clip???
Not an issue, but a prop to make an important point.
5:41, you're right. There's only one amendment left. And that's only because the press agree's with the regime. If they ever grow balls and attempt to deviate, all bets are off. If they don't tow the line, the pressure will mount to get them off the air. Witness our Dannie, who constantly rails against Fox News. He only wants the "traditional" media, that which bows to his Master. He ain't alone.

It should take intelligence to craft the law. Too many politicians (sorry mayor) haven't a clue what the consequences are of their laws.
The first two freedoms in the first amendment are already under attack. Why not modify the freedom of speech to eliminate the violent films and games that help incite teens to violence.
