Boehner: President is willing to go over fiscal cliff

Congress already solved this problem when they pass tax rate expiration and spending sequestration. No action is needed this month....There is no fiscal cliff....It's all hype.
Meanwhile, the President and Mr. Boehner are meeting this evening at the White House to discuss the issue further.

I say head on over the falls. Give the people a chance to see what fun it will be to actually pay for all the FreeStuff we've promised people. Let's get the real party started. Send us the bills for all this partying. We want the bills. Not the Buffalo version. Lets raise everyone's taxes, not just the hard workers. And as far as Dannie's favorite 47%ers, they still won't pay anything. You could double their taxes and 2 times zero still equals zero. And Dan will still get all his breaks. And all the entitled others will still get all their FreeStuff. So the only people who get screwed will be the working fools and the kids. So what else is new? Take us over the cliff oh Saviour Obama.

Boehner is blowing smoke until he is reelected as Speaker of The House on January 3rd.

Remember, he is the same guy who said he was "bending over backward" to get a deal on the 2011 debt ceiling crisis. Then after it was settled, he bragged, saying: "I got 98% of what I wanted."

So now, does that mean Boehner should get 98% of the blame for the mess we are currently in?

His real problem is more than 1/2 of older registered Republicans like me don't want to loose the Social Security or Medicare benefits WE PAID FOR, so the richest Americans can keep a tax cut.

“Send us the bills for all this partying. We want the bills…”

I’m with you… and while we are at it lets take a look at the bills for Iraq and Afghanistan.

Well said 4:44pm. I would only add that when Boehner does bend over, it’s for the party extremists and usually in the other direction with a firm grasp of his ankles.

If the Prez is "willing" to go over the cliff, it's because Mr. Boehener is driving the car -- the congress controls the purse strings.

All bills, 6:30. Wars have a way of costing a bunch, but we never know what they save in the long run. We do know entitlements that fight so called poverty haven't worked out too well, have they? But I'm with ya. Bring on the cliff. But no more tax breaks for the Dannie types. Flat taxes that include everyone. Get them companies, but get them FreeStuff people too. Everybody pays. Nobody gets a break. No more 47% that pays nothing.

The Republicans would be better off filing for “moral” bankruptcy and rebuilding from the ground up; their house of trick cards has completely collapsed....and it couldn't happen to a nicer set of villains.

They're a mean, petty, and unreasonable tribe of malcontents that doesn't care to get along well with others unless it is on their own illogical terms.

La-La-Land is the place, inhabited by today’s Republicans…

Where dinosaurs and humans roamed the earth together and were hunted by men…

where 47% of Americans are ‘takers’…

where people who have their life-line (‘entitlements’) cut off, should submissively find a corner to die in and disappear into the ether…

where the mother of all entitlements, defense spending, is a ‘sacred cow’ corporate welfare program enjoyed by Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, etc.)…

where exporting jobs for cheap labor somehow benefits the nation and where a large number of Americans are suppose to be delighted to earn $8/hr…

where relieving the poor, poor corporations flush with cash and the wealthy of their tax burden magically grows the economy and allows wealth to trickle down to the rest of us…

where corporate interests can be trusted not to poison the land and where global warming is a stunt invented by them ‘librul types’…

where women wear the consequences of men's inability to keep their ding dong’s in their pants; are dammed with invasive legislative proposals, and then ridiculed for speaking out…

where minorities are just plain ‘lazy’…

where homosexuals can be ‘cured’ of what ails them…

where Fox News, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, et al., are the absolute authority of ‘truth’…

where if only they could explain their foolhardy self serving policies better, Americans would vote for them in a landslide…

where the losing side in an election somehow still thinks it has the right to coerce the president and get their own way on behalf of the 1% and their corporate slave masters…

where systematically and diabolically disenfranchising ‘certain’ voters is a harmless byproduct of the prevention of ‘voter fraud’…

where hubris, greed, social deafness, and an oligarchic agenda are the order of the day…

and…

where the President is an alien from Planet Kenya…

The good news: The Party of Dwindling Numbers continues to remind the MAJORITY of American voter’s everyday that they are an exclusive club of old dying disillusioned white men.

All that baloney is fine, 12:11, but you really say nothing at all. We have a spending problem. Obama, and cabooses like you, will never face up to it. When someone demands we address our spending problems, you label them unreasonable and illogical. You are the one who is unreasonable and illogical. Despite your desire to ignore reality, we need to spend less. Obama's tax raising solution will buy us only a few days. Are you an idiot, or simply stuck on party line hatred? Or both?

12: 47. For THE WIN !!! Repugnicans are acellerating toward the boneyard and the poor deluded angry old guys are grasping at straws and gasping for their own political death throes . Their day is passed , their message is not being bought by the majority and they are wailing and gnashing their political teeth to have SOME degree of relavance , BUT alas it is all in vain . GET thee to the boneyard with all the other dinosaur, dodos. And. Other extinct species ;)

12:57 All cliches. No substance. What are you saying? Nonsense.

Try to make a point, then use facts to back it up. Little sniglets of BS add up to nothing.

If you have an education degree, we understand.

1:11AM, The GOP began with a balanced budget in 2000, lowered taxes on the American public, ran up two wars and NOW they say WE have a spending problem. Really?!

The cowardly Republicans are the ones demanding spending cuts... So, THEY are the ones that need to outline the spending cuts that THEY want -- not Obama.

But, in their usual spineless fashion they are only looking for cover from the fall out if there are cuts to entitlements. Obama shouldn't give them any cover, he needs to make them say what THEY want to cut so the American people can see who's doing the cutting and to what programs.

YOU and YOUR party of obstructionists are becoming increasingly irrelevant and need to get out of the way quickly. A new generation is rising, a new reality is emerging and moving forward… and YOU are not part of it.

I think we should follow The Kenyan's plan and see how things go. Either way, he'll have to Own It.

I don’t know 9:22am; 12:57am makes sense to me; and judging from the election results, the majority of Americans as well.

It just so happens that those majority of Americans who voted for Obama are the ones that keep taking from the minority and cannot keep their own houses in order. Thirty year old college student needs help paying for birth control pills.

You absolutely nailed it 1:49PM. The “Party of Stupid” creates the problem through their own wasteful spending and tax cuts for the rich and then has the audacity to point the finger of blame at the Democrats.

Just yesterday, I read an interesting news story stating how the Republican House secretly raised their budget by adding $500,000 to defend DOMA according to September documents just revealed!!

From the Article:

[snip] “House Administration Chairman Dan Lungren, R-Calif., signed off in September on a $500,000 increase in the maximum value of the contract with the firm, Washington-based Bancroft. Republicans have raised the cap of the contract twice: first on Sept. 29, 2011, from its original maximum of $500,000 to $1.5 million, and again on Sept. 28 to its new maximum of $2 million. Although the latest lifting of the contract cap occurred almost three months ago, House Democrats — and the public — were in the dark about the move until this week…”

Talk about waste! Next time some dumb ass conservative bitches to me about how they don't want their tax money spent on such-and-such,
I'm going to use this as an example of how I don't want MINE spent.

REPUBLICANS -- HYPOCRISY IS THY NAME!!

Well then, let us continue to spend ourselves into oblivion. And we can blame George Bush or something..

I really don't care. I have a government job. Thank your kids for the use of their future. Actually, its more like the sacrifice of their future.

Dan, you are I are sittin' pretty good. I just love other peoples' money. I'm entitled.
