WDT: Chaumont to Live On
The Village of Chaumont will remain part of the political and social landscape of Jefferson County. A measure to dissolve the village failed today.

label it the way it is. They beat back the windmills again.
Chaumont is a pretty big village,it would seem more reasonable to merge the town into the village,though don't how that works or if it is viable..just like the town of Watertown should be merged into the city.Also think Glen Park should merge with the village of Brownville..just my two cents..
