St. Lawrence County Property Taxes To Jump 13.4% | WWNY TV 7

Is an extra $109 a year for the average homeowner too big a price to keep the "Big County" chugging along ?  Not really.
St. Lawrence County property taxes will go up 13.4% and some 50 positions will be eliminated as lawmakers there, like many in Congress, decided 'no new taxes' is not the mantra in an Obama second term.
If you are a part of the system...if you have or a person close to you has a county job, the extra taxes are miniscule. For others, it's just a headline that no one really follows that closely.

The landlords will add it to their rent and the government pays 90% of the rents in the RINO county.

Have you seen what a typical home looks like in the RINO county? It is a trailer not worth more than $5k.
So yeah, another 100 bucks on that trailer is too much to pay. Especially when it is so that they can duplicate road blocks alongside the homeland security guys.

I wholeheartyly disagree with you Jeff. ANY tax hike is too much in this already highly overtaxed populace, be $109 or $9!!!!! Maybe you should talk to some of the farmers who own several hundred acres of land and see how much that "$109" REALLY amounts to. Since it really doesn't amount to much accorfing to you, maybe you should chip in and pay the increase for them, just to be a nice guy. Since it really really doesn't amount to that much.

Thank you Senator Patty Richie for tanking your home county. Senator Aubertine would have had this mess taken care of last year.

But hey! Grover Norquist still loves you.

I blame patty too. She is the one that spends county money like a drunken sailor, right?

This is Ritchie politics. The democratic majority in SLC makes it easy for her to shove it too her constituants. Possibly she will vote with the democratic majority to raise the minimum wage this year to save face.. Also Pat I still want my Star Rebate I used to get..
I noticed in the Journal she had another photo OP going on. This poor sole dosnt have a clue about the job she won in an election and the Republican bosses only lead her around until they find someone else that can draw votes for them..

You'd think that after their candidate gets trounced 4-to-1, the Ritchie haters on this blog might get a clue.
