Radio Appearance This Morning

This morning I am a guest on WTNY radio to talk about the recent elections. It's nice to be considered an expert on something and I always enjoy talking into microphones on Mullin Street.
Key to any discussion of local elections is the post partisan nature of the NNY electorate in the past decade.
This is one of those markets where the print folks don't do political analysis on broadcast media and it hurts them in that such cross promotion is normally seen as good for their media as well.
Oh well, as the only political blogger left after midnight, I will pick up the duties with enthusiasm.

Don't flatter yourself. I expect they want you because you're available not because you are an expert.

Keep in mind...
As much as this election was bought with free birth control. Nnd sitting on the Dream Act for two years but then enacting it by fiat this summer...
A lot of it comes down to the fact that stupid people like Obama's charming personality and nonchalant manner we walks down the steps of air force one. If John Kerry ran on the Obama platform with the Obama record...he would lose.

Who would be an expert you would like to hear from ?

Tell them the truth , the GOP is dead in the water until they move toward the center , marginalize the extremist factions within the party and begin to realize that their demographic profile MUST change if they are to be relevant in ANY future national elections .

That. Is the TRUTH and anything less than that is fiction , spin or denial

8:10- I agree. The economy is in a similar place as it was when carter was up for reelection and he got slaughtered. Much the same way I wouldn't not for a man because of the color of his skin I also wouldn't vote for a man because of the color of their skin, but I think many people did just that on Tuesday. I agree that if a white man had presided over this economy for the last 4 years, regardless of his party affiliation, he would never had been reelected. I hate to play the race card, but just look at history.

Did you get to meet Jay Donovan?

Does Allen Walts really have a large mustache?

Is there really a lilly pad in the froggy studio?

Bazinga!
Certainly not the political junky that hosts a political talk show, writes a popular political blog, has held office in the city for record years and was even a major party delegate.
More likely Danny or Mikey is who he has in mind.

Well said 9:03AM, you nailed it. Too bad they don't get and probably never will.

7:16 - Geez...why so nasty? If you are so displeased with the information Mayor Graham has to offer why are you reading his blog???

I read on another post someone complimenting another poster for simply being nice amongst a "sea of nastiness". Case and point. 7:16's post served no purpose but to be mean. I hope writing those words made you feel better about yourself, 7:16, as I can see no other reason for you to take the time to type them.
