Those four students who harassed a Rochester area bus monitor are going to be walking to school for a year and doing community service for their abhorent behavior.
Meanwhile, bus monitor Karen Klein has received $667,000 from folks who saw her plight on the Internet and chipped in.
Let's just hope the parents of these students don't indulge them by going out of their way to transport the lil' darlings.

They go to a special alternative school now? Where the teachers make more money because they are certified in special ED, with less students and they interfere with the students that truly need a special alternative school and will now be influenced by students with even worse behavior problems than the ones they already have.
Too bad no one in on the bus or in the school was competent enough to nip the bad behavior at the bud. Before it got to the level of warrantying a years punishment and 100k worth of alternative ed.
If the students had seen others kicked off for a week or two over lessor offenses then it would not have come to this. the students are as much victims of the school as they are derelicts. Children need supervision, oversight and sensible rules along with enforcement of said rules. Otherwise they just grow up to be animals.

What the duty of a monitor?
At least she or/ and the bus driver ,should have reported that or other earlier incidents to the school.
If she could not handle this age children, she should have been monitoring elemantary kids. If she can not show some kind of authority and even defent herself, she sould not be a bus monitor in the first place.
All this people who feel so sorry for her and giving her all this money for sitting and doing nothing, I would like to ask? Where is her responsiblity in this?
Would all this people think the same if this schoolbusmonitor would quietly sit by, if their child happend to be attacked an bullied?
Now the taxpayer has to pick up the bill for this incident and pay for the alternate school. Maybe the lady would like to donate the money out of her fortune.
Thats whats wrong with America, people get paid for beeing victims and nobody holds them responsible for their duties or work or attidude no more.
