WDT: Irish Fest Boss and Dem County Chair to Run Dulles Building

The Times cites multiple Democratic Party sources saying the party's county chair and election commissioner is being tapped to run the Dulles State Office Building.
Sean Hennessey has been a loyal and enthusiastic supporter of the party and the manager post is probably the the most cushy patronage post the party has to offer.
That makes Mr. Hennessey the logical choice.
I was rooting for Middle Class Mike.

Just reminds me of what a piece of crap Cuomo is. Shame on the people that said he was about reform. How many patronage jobs did he hand out just in our area?

And now we hear about how he pressured people not to get lawyers when he was the AG. What a disgusting human being.

You knew this was being set up weeks ago when they fired the last guy for no reason. Then, in perfect Democrat fashion, they lied about it. Now it turns out to be true. Why don't people just tell the truth? Does Hennessee feel he has to lie about everything to be a good party line kinda guy? Hey guy, are you the suck up that was chosen to take the taxpayer's money and pretend to work the job running the SOB? A simple yes would have done it.

Ah the power of politics, He'll be able to control the building now. His first course will be to "ban" duct tape.

I know David and Laurie Steyer and even being a Republican I knew they worked hard for the Democratic Party and someone like Hennessey has people like the Steyer's to thank for any success the party has had locally.

It is a shame Hennessey does not respect the rank and file party members. And where is Aubertine, they worked on his campaigns. Did one of them run against Gray for legislator also?

Where is Aubertine? He is already working a patronage job, that's where.

Does this mean he gives up the BOE job?

Mayor I believe if it were a Republican being picked for that job under a Republican Governor you and your bloggers would feel differently about this. You yourself know that working for a party or an individual may result in a "job". Im sure Matt will be using you for something....hell with all the support you have given him he should get rid of Jude and put you in there.

NOT true, 8:43. This is simple example of lying to me. The Democrat leadership, Henessee included, was asked. They lied. Again, why do political types feel they have to lie about everything in their lives. This has no party line slant to it. Except maybe around here, the Democrats seem to have a more consistant record of lying. C'mon Sean, why did you feel you had to lie when asked about this? Is it because the firing of Steyer was done so blantantly? You were a shooin for the job. I just never realized they made desks that small.

I am a republican and I don't approve of patronage jobs no matter which party is giving them out. I am sure the whole racist moron Tea Party feels the same way and they are republicans too. Which means 8:43 is either a liar or a moron...or both.

Is this the same Hennessee that was supposed to have recieved a patronage job with DOT, but failed the test?

The BOE job goes to Al Drake.

From day one, when Steyer was fired it was a give me that he would get the job. It is a political job and I get that and accept that. However, the lying and is what got me. Have some backbone and say Dave lost favor with the party and he is out we have someone in mind who is a party horse and deserves it. FYI for those keeping track in 2011 Hennessey made $50,100 in his current political job and Steyer made $75,700. Not a bad raise for a political patronage job jumper

... Next up, he'll try to get the job of running Clark Hall out on Drum. Just today, he was out there being a good toadie for the Dems and the 'NY is Open for Business' Small Business session they had out there. (NOTE: NY ranked 50th in terms of being 'business friendly', but that's beside the point...)

Turnout was low enough ~ because the Yes-Men and sycophants who organized it were soooo insistent on doing it on Drum, because it was Veteran-Owned-Small Business Initiative driven, that they ignored suggestions to hold it at a much-easier-to-find-and-access venue such as JCC ~ that they tried to drag soldiers in from out in the hallways just so they could have a good photo-op, 'as provided by a local NewzJunkie'.

The entire issue isn't about partisan politics. It is about lying. Sean and the Democrat machine was asked about this and they denied that Mr Steyer was fired to make room for Henessee. Turns out, Henessee lied. A trait which no doubt made him a great candidate for the patronage job in the first place. When all is said and done, all we really have is our reputation. This Henessee guy will be left with only a patronage job. Everybody knows what one must do to get one. Be proud, Sean.

I just want to say that committee chairpeople democrat and republican work hard for their party and it is a unpaid job. I say you are all just jealous that Mr. Hennessey got the job that he is qualified to do!

Yes, he's as dishonest, politically, as they come. That makes him a perfect candidate to maintain toilets in the SOB and lie about getting the job. I'm with ya, 11:25.

Oh come on now....if this was for a GOP person, these comments would be different. And you can't LIE to yourself about that. I don't like Patty, I don't agree with her, but guess what, she's my senator. And even though I do not agree with the # of staff she has, it's 20, thats more than Darrel had, and the jobs she has given out to people seem like favors...she is still my senator
