President Obama has decided gun control...or at least talking about it....is good politics. There has been a clamor for a "national conversation" from Mayor Bloomberg and others after the Aurora, CO theater shootings.
The President told a gathering in New Orleans that soldiers, not citizens should have access to assault style weapons and high capacity magazines.
Up til now Mr. Obama has walked a cautious line on the issue for fear of motivating gun owners to vote against him.

One crazy guy every 20 years kills a handful of people in Colorado and Obama is asking for gun laws? Yet more people are killed every month...month after month...in the place where Obama was a community organizer. The place with some of the strictest gun laws in the country. This is a case of libruls being even more stoopiter than usual.
Yes, gun control gun control. Here's hoping they can implement the safe and effective and foolish gun control they already have in place in Chicago, Obama's home town. According to the CDC, in '09: 11,493 deaths were the result of a homicide involving a gun.
But yet:
Heart disease killed 599,413 people.
Cancer killed 567,628 people.
Chronic lower respiratory diseases killed 137,353 people.
Stroke killed 128,842 people.
Unintentional accidents killed 128,842.
Alzheimer’s disease killed 79,003 people.
Diabetes killed 68,705 people.
The flu and pneumonia killed 53,692 people.
Nephritis, et cetera killed 48,935 people.
Suicide resulted in 36,909 deaths.
According to the Chicago PD stats
Murders for 2012- 284
for 2011- 215
% change 2011-2012 +32%
And the year is just over halfway through.
So Obozo go back to the streets of Chicago and tell your bruthuzz to start bein have. Dan the day our governmnet had total control over guns and much more would be the last day for most of us. We would have not one right left. Look into a group in Germany back in the 40s. Their leader decided to take all the guns. He also decided it was good for everyone involved to have death camps. But still people (criminals) had guns. Same in Russia today and China. Canada isn't much different. The people just might be a little smarter there, or nice.

I am angry that we say it's okay for a man to enter a movie house, in body armor with tear gas and loaded for bear and kill a dozen people and wound 50 and call it "his right to bear arms."
Or seeing a nut with the same kinds of guns shoot up a school playground, or camp site, or hell even a church or doctor's clinic and try and justify it.

He either wised up, recognized reality, or was told by someone influential to think before running his mouth. Dontcha just wish Dannie had a friend he would listen to as well. When I asked her to explain, she said he'd probably have a gun and could've shot the guy.
I reminded her that the citizens of Colorado in that theater had the ability to purchase a weapon and get a concealed weapons permit to protect themselves and others, but evidently they declined to do so. They, as most Americans believe, that a simple call to 911 will make everything OK and you can continue to eat your popcorn. Folks, we need to get real here. The ONLY person who is going to protect YOU is YOURSELF. You can cower-down to the "bad guys" or you can get a weapon (before Hillary and the U.N.) outlaws them and defend yourselves. Remember...the cops are called AFTER the fact. The carnage...YOU can prevent.
Dan you no nothing about how the world works now. You are out of touch man. I have a family member who has problems telling about what's real and not. It took the state 2 months to treat him the way he needed to be treated. Locked up and put on the drugs he needed to shut off the voices. Now he is out and home, okay as a peach. It took the state 2 months of leg drags to fix the problem. In that amount of time he could have been in a body suit shooting others. Thank God we took all the guns away a long time ago. the state wouldn't. But understand, several everyday people don't need their guns taken away. They need to see a doctor every once in awhile and get a head check, just like you. You say some mean and almost dangerous stuff to all of us. I don't call you out sir, why do you call the rest of out? Is that the armed forces coming out? I know they teach control.

I agree the right to have and shoot arms is just over used. I don't need a cannon. But if I had fun shooting it at the gun range and no one got harmed, well that's my thing. I have seen people at the gun range with 308s blasting cans. Yes sir it is overkill. But they are shooting cans and not people. Where's the harm Dan?
