No wonder people don't read the MSM....The NY Times admits that it and other major papers engage in the ultimate clubby perversion of journalism, called "quote approval".
Quotes are submitted to public figures to see if that's what they said...want said and what they want changed.
This practice isn't just bad journalism...it's not journalism...it's shilling.

No Mr. Mayor, what YOU do is shilling for Doheny and Richie.
This is not "news" & should not be a surprise. For at least the last decade there is a clear pattern of The Ruling Class both "planting" stories & "killing" stories.
Newspapers ... or what is left of newspapers ... have become little more than propaganda outlets staisfied to merely repeat what is fed to them by gov't mouthpieces.
Isn't the only news service that challenged & destroyed the credibility of Judith Miller's planted 'WMDs & Iraq' claim now out of business?
Miller still has much credibility with non koolaid drinkers.
Its better to have the interviewee approving the quotes than to have a biased MSN controlling it all.
What difference does it make? MSM will simply edit the tapes to make it sound like the guy said something he didn't anyway. Get ready for four more years of ciminality and lies. Borrow and spend and ignore here we come.
