Mayor Passes Civics Exam

So I took a civics test on line sent to me by Johnny Tufo.....They said the average American scored 49% and college professors averaged 55%.  I got an 89. That should be reassuring to you all, although I was sad I didn't do better.

Mr. mayor: Is there no end to your ego?

The kind of govenment we have now, with president Obama a great example, benefits from a stupid populace. Why would our schools want any of our kids to learn anything about civics? Only a fool believes all things can be Free. And we certainly have our share of people who believe.

We don't have government hit teams in the streets. We don't have Nazi police asking for papers. You can move almost any day without asking to about anywhere in the country, assuming you are not a sex offender. The stores are full of products from all over the world, all you need is to work hard and buy. All the kids get school if they want to use it. It's the land of plenty. How much more freedom is there?

Move to the Congo if you want to see freedom or lack of.

Idi, SO GOOD TO SEE YOU. I missed you.

Actually, we do have the police stopping us and asking for "papers", and asking us where we are going and where we've been. So moving about is becoming increasingly monitored. Plate readers abound. All the kids get second rate school, as measured against much of the world, although we spend ooodles on overpaid and underachieving teachers. Things are changing. Nobody cares. When is the Mall closing? And can I get my birth control pills with no copay? Priorities. Freedom ain't one of them.

I was always taught that if you are doing a good job people will notice, you won't have to tell them. Apparently you were absent that day.

There's something to said for being humble Jeff. Maybe that's the turnoff to voters.

Graham is humble about the things he ought to be humble about and speaks matter of factually about the gifts God gave him. No need to pretend he is an average commentator on civics or on media...he is not. If you don't let yourself feel threatened by someone that is good at something or smart or funny then you can enjoy their company more.
