Republican insiders, leaders, and elected officials continue to endorse Matt Doheny in the upcoming GOP Congressional primary against unknown and underfunded challenger Kellie Greene.
Today it was Senate Republicans endorsing Doheny.
Since only an estimated seven to ten percent of registered R's will be voting on June 26, and many of those are the insiders and leaders, it's reasonable to expect Mr. Doheny's margin will be north of 70%, but a number in the mid 60s would be very good.
Meanwhile both candidates announced signing of some "no tax" pledge...Hope it wasn't the one the first President Bush signed.
I am not big on pledges, but if one signs it pretty much forces the other to follow suit.

Thats exactly what it was and is.. Grover Norquist is so powerful in the Republican party these wannabes cant even expect the backing of the GOP unless they sign it..
In laymans terms No new taxes means alot..
In reality it means any chance to get the rich and corporate to pay their fair share will never come about with thes pepole running and signing the pledge..
Why dont they just pledge that anyone making less than two hundred thousand will not have any new taxes... Ask Doheny why not?? Ask Ritchie why not????
And in reality who would she back.. He has given her in excess of twenty thousand dollars for her campaigns so if he dosnt win he still buys her vote for what he needs...
Matt's smooch surly won't hurt him in the primary but the one area he is vulnerable, is questioning if he is Conservative enough. So he should tunr tail and run from Patty as fast as he can.
Right now she is pandering to the first responders by pushing Mark's law. How despicable is it that we had two murders in the land of windmill fights, yet she would have one murder worth more punishment than the poor grandmother that was stabbed to death in cold blood in front of her daughter and her granddaughter.
Republicans and conservatives should both stand for treating everyone the wame under the law instead of pandering to first responders.
Pleas if any of you first responders are not first class cowards, come forward and plead that you don't get special treatment under the law when you are a victim of a crime.
I always question elected officials when they come up with these special laws, what happens when a Postal delivery person, meter reader, etc etc gets shot. Just more grandstanding by our state senator.
When the World Trade Center was attacked, it was the firefighters who charged in while everyone else ran for the hills. If someone kills a cop or a firefighter, they should get first degree murder. We as a society send cops and firefighters into dangerous places where the rest of us are afraid to go. If someone intentionally hams them, we as a society owes it make an example of those who would harm our protectors.
Why does Addie think firefighters don't matter?
We do, We vote. And we remember!
That's why we're backing Patty Ritchie. She's got our back.
The firefighters did not turn and leave the world trade center but the cops did. Because the cops were smart enough to work their radios.
Addie must take those sayings about "all men are created equal" and "all are equal in the eyes of the law" too seriously.
And the first responders heed the captains rule of "women and children first"...especially if you are going to murder them...because the penalty soon will be less.
Did the fact that no one thought the buildings would ever fall get missed by you all? No one had that in mind that day, other than the poor soles lost. I am sure they heard the building giving way. Don't make light of a hero's death. Everyone of them should have their picture under the word hero on Dinky-Links.
