State Agriculture Commisioner Darrel Aubertine has canned an aide but he may want to apply for the aide's job instead. The now former state employee John Haggerty was making $144K when suddenly let go without explanation over the weekend. Secretary Aubertine makes $120K.
Everyone is being tight lipped, as the public doesn't have a right to know what led to the dismissal.
Sometimes transparency is really quite opaque.

I,ve been trying to find out for about five years why Bill Nelson Ogdensburg mayor was let go from the Ogdensburg Bridge port board.. No luck yet.. Also hes been downgraded at the Claxton the head of maintence.. Hes responsible now to see the lawn is mowed, the flowers planted, the floors washed and toilets cleaned.. Still cant find out why either????
Bottom line is unless a crime has been committed we have no reason to know....
Kind of like the opaque dismissal of Mary Corriveau.
I don't believe the guy's name is John Mr. Mayor...Robert Haggerty is the guy Darrel fired.
Pretty sure Darrel is the Commissioner, not Secretary, of Ag and Markets...
Maybe Sean Hennessey wants it, or Ted Ford, or AJR has a sister that needs a job.

Why is that the "way it works" when it's good old Darrel, but when anyone else does it it is called corruption, nepotism, favoritism or some other negative?
The old Aubertine haters are still at it. Good to see, its been awhile since ive read some good Darrel bashing. I wish I had more time to sit around on my fat ass bashing people anonomously.
Because I LIKE Darrell 8:29. When he fires someone, whether its to make an opening for Syawn Hennessee or any other corrupt, bend over type yes man, I DON'T CARE. Why, cause I LIKE Darrell. Now if we were talking about Addie Jenne Whatever, I'd feel otherwise. Mr A I like.
