Reader Says I Shouldn't Interview Doheny

One frequent participant in this blog says I should not be allowed to interview Matt Doheny on the HOTLINE on June 20.
Graham should not conduct the interview - he is in the tank for Doheny and cannot be expected to "fair or balanced."
A neutral third party should conduct the interview, if it is to have any credibility.
   That's what Dan Francis says.
I am a supporter of Mr. Doheny and have contributed to his campaign, but my job on the HOTLINE is not to be "fair and balanced".   The HOTLINE is an opinion show and if someone else is brought in to do interviews, then it's just an interview done by someone else in our studio. It is not the HOTLINE.
Frankly, I am surprised a candidate would risk the unscripted format and unanticipated questions. My history is one of always being courteous and trying to bring out the guests beliefs. However, I do have to ask certain questions as there is an obligation to the listeners.
Anyone who comes on the show realizes this and that's why some don't come on.
There's nothing I could ask that would be a shocker and any decent candidate will have rehearsed possible zingers.
Besides Dan, who would you have interview the candidate ?

Its the questions that you wont ask mayor and the answers you wont demand mayor. Simply put Mayor most of us feel whatever you ask him and talk about has been rehearsed...

I wonder what Danny thought when Obama went on Oprah's show?
I wonder what Danny thought when Obama went on all the late night talk shows?

Oops..."Danny" and "thought" is an oxymoron...my mistake.

Uh huh, and another frequent participant on this blog thinks you should censor MCM:

[snip] “…Please screen your calls so we don't have to listen to that dimwitted partisan New York city operative, FreeStuff Mikey, call in to the hotline when our next Representative is your guest on the 20th”

Of course, unlike MCM, the aforementioned couldn’t possibly be a low level partisan hack wannabe for congressional wannabe Doheny.

Three words… political kabuki theater.

Snip is always Dannie. We can only wish the gender specific abortion policy was in effect when Dannie was conceived. Snip and all that.

I stand by my comments ... your views, opinions about him, your posing with him, and your resounding support for him puts you in a certain light: for him.

- yes, I agree in part that you are fairly fair and fairly balanced. I have been interviewed by you ... but the neutrality issue is my point.

Let someone else do it and make sure the lines are open for short questions from the audience.

Maybe Jim Levin can interview him?

You are correct 3:01...
I am unlike MCM in every way...
I am a maker...
and I couldn't possibly be a partisan hack...
As I would vote for anyone but Owens.
Doesn't matter to me if that means Doheny or not...
and it doesn't matter to me what line I vote against Owens on either.
And whatever I wannabe I end up being.
And it most definitely wouldn't be low level.

Hey Dan go screw yourself. Graham can interview whoever he wants.

Yeah, Jim Levin, a silver spoon NYC boy. He will serve well in the role of impartial NNY citizenry. Dannie, you're absolutley nuts. Funny at times, but nuts.

7:33pm, It strikes me that your association with the facts in any capacity tends toward the sparse. Is it hard to type with those sheep hooves?

Yes 9:23 PM - the imagination can make you believe almost anything and stop thinking about facts and start running with whatever idea comes to mind.

Just ask the GOP...

9:23 - the line beteen genius and silly (or nuts, as you like to label me) is thin - I erased it long ago.

Nice try and thanks for playing "Got Cha'..."
