Time for petitions part II. Due to a spate of lunacy by Albany political operatives have to hit the streets twice this year. Once for the federal office primary held June 26 and again right now for the state and local office primaries in September.
Glad I gave that up for Lent and never reacquired the habit.

Petitions are often the only face to face contact many voters have with the political "process".
Petition gathering can also be a team building exercise for candidates and political parties. It is also a great way to become involved, there are no special skills or tools needed.
I have things I'd rather be doing, but i understand the importance of this process and volunteer my time and vehicle to participate.
You should be encouraging people to get involved Mayor, not minimizing or belittling the process.
