Missing Out on Much Talked About Event
The rumor mill is that upwards of 800 guests will crowd Caprice Island for the reception, and then there's the security, caterers, entertainers , operatives and others..There are electeds, media types, friends, family, business associates among the guests. Given the density of people for the day, the Island may briefly qualify for its own zip code.
There are Uncle Sam's boats ferrying revelers to the island downriver from the Bay.
Tonight there is a pre wedding dinner at the Clayton Opera House.
Hopefully it will be a weekend away from talking about Obama Care and Nancy Pelosi. All of that resumes next week and will go on non stop until November.

Huh. Cleaning a house instead of attending a wedding? I don't care how much you don't like Doheny, that sounds like a bad trade!
Can anyone go? Do we just show up with a dish to pass? Will PattyPlate and AJR be there? Ted Ford?
the premier social event in the Bay will be the Harley Owners' Group rally. Dohenny is a showboat.

8:59 nailed it. I am surprised their weren't donation cards left at every seat. I suppose it would have been hard to not make it seem that way though unless they opted for a smaller, more intimate affair. And there was no chance Doheny wasn't going to have something huge. Hell, he turned the standard married couple departure from the ceremony (where they usually pile into a "just married" car and drive off) into yet another street parade as he walked to the boat (but this time the parade was in his honor!). There is little doubt he loves the spotlight.
