If you or I had done it in the USA, you'd be charged......but for British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife, it was OK to leave their 8 year old daughter in a pub where they had been drinking. In the States, just utter a harsh word in front of a tot and their charge you.
In the live and let live world of European life, its OK to visit a pub and if you leave the little one behind, the barkeep takes care of her till you remember.

Typical, media guy exaggerating the facts..the story said he left with his protection team in one car,while his wife left in another and inadvertently left the girl behind.The news said she was there for fifteen minutes,in which she was looked after by restaurant staff.That is intentionally skewing the facts to make it seem like he was given preferential treatment.Things like this happen and it is incorrect to declare that anyone else would be arrested..
Imagine what CBS NBC ABC CNN MSNBC would do if the 19 year old bush twins were caught drinking in a bar. Now imagine what they would do if Biden's daughter was caught doing coke. Now imagine what they would do if Al gore's son were arrested.
Now in light of all that you should not be commenting on how Fox news would cover anything.
Actually nothing happened. The kid was watched for fifteen minutes by a safe person. The "media jackals" are at it again. "Hey reporters I think I just heard the President break wind!" Oh m'God that is front page for sure!
Media there hates Cameron just like ours hate anyone but our First Semi-Black President. Its just a show. Its why media is so well respected.
