You better be sitting down for this one....The Obama campaign now has a gift registry for campaign contributions...That means if you are getting married or having a birthday, you forego a gift from Pottery Barn and direct gift buyers to the campaign registry which will offer a variety of contributions in lieu of toasters or cutting boards.
It's all part of the cult of personality that is President Obama.
What's next ? Let your kids go to a cheaper school or let Mom going without Mother's Day dinner and instead contribute to The One we've been waiting for.

I am actually a big fan of people who suggest their wedding guests donate to a specific charity in lieu of a gift, but usually the "charity" is not a controversial political figures.
At least Doheny didn't ask for a donation to Doheny for Congress as his wedding registry...now that would have been classy.
He is really letting his arrogance show with this move.
This man is sick. But we're sicker for putting him in office. If we keep him there we will be pathetic. I almost hope we do. If that happens it will eliminate the need for comedy in the world. We will have enough of our own coming from the White House and from our own demise. And why should anyone else take over the job of trying to pull this country out of this mess?
8:39 please speak for yourself. "We" did not put him there. 45.7% of us voted against Obama. Most of us saw Obama for the extremist he was/is. Fortunately, he is too stupid and inept to get much of his agenda passed.But what little he did get passed has been catastrophic.
I very much agree with you 10:02AM. I did not vote for him four years ago and will not do it this year either.
Somebody voted for him. Somebody is responsible. Somebody swallowed when media puked. WE are responsible for our leaders.
