For the MSM the city manager designee is an enigma shrouded in a mystery. They want to know what she did at the NSA and want to know all sorts of other stuff that I told them was none of their business.
Sharon Addison takes over the job on July 16 and in the meantime John Krol (who celebrates a birthday tomorrow) continues doing the manager job.
City Council vetted all the candidates carefully using their own criteria. The appointee was presented at a news conference at which there were few questions ask. I am sure there will be plenty of time for everyone to get to know her, but the first priorities are her learning as much about city operations and staffing before July, and finishing out her duties at her current job.
My advice to her was that Mr. Krol is the manager and there's not much to say until she is...in other words, stay under the cone while you can.

She could tell you but then she would have to kill you.
Unless she was part of the operation that killed OBL, in which case she could leak every detail short of the names and addresses of the Navy Seals who conducted the operation, in an attempt to promote Obama.
Times is pissed you didn't run it by them.
The poor times (JJ) didn't get to control the process and is upset. Nobody asked him what to do? The times is dying and JJ influence is all but dead. I guess he has to run for office to set policy. Good Job Mr. Mayor for not telling them anything.
One question: Who does know the depth of her experience other than 'secret' NSA stuff?
If council knows, then why can't the public know, too? If council does not know the depth of her experience, then how did they determine whether she would "fit" or not?
The decision has raised more confusing doubt and wondering than council is willing to answer about - why is that? Surely, it cannot be privacy issues.
That is the only issue at hand.
Danny has a point. You must release a transcript of all interviews for the city manager position. Danny has a right to know whatever the council knows.
Anon 9:06 - you are an ass... that is not point... which went right over your noggin...
The process for the candidate rating probably would never be revealed to the public... but the views and reasons I have been reading for council to have reached their decision, to me, seem pretty weak.
"She's a quick learner." How do they know that?
See my point? Probably you do not.
Danny, why don't you run for council? And then you could* have a say in it. Right now...you don't.
*Assuming no one ran against you such as a person or a ham sandwich.
And Dannie, the man who would wipe his own butt any way his party told him to, continues to make friends and influence people.
Dannie, your president will tell us everything. Just tell him it has something to do with his reelection. Go ahead, he'll listen to you.
