Queen of Hearts Has a Winner

After 47 weeks and sales of over $200K, the local  Elks Club has a winner in its Queen of Hearts raffle. That makes Dan Ritz richer by $50K and ends weeks of excitement and crowds at the Bradley St.   lodge.

When will we hear about someone embezzling funds from the club ?

Did you know that a member of the Queen of Hearts committee can sell these tickets at local establishments. Fort Pearl could be one of these places. The next time you see the jackpot getting bigger maybe you can cash in also.

Why would that make any sense for anyone ?

It could bring in great revenue for the bar. I wasn't aware but these tickets can be sold anywhere as long as a committee member is selling them. They are being sold at Gold Star Deli and Northern Transmission Service. I'm sure they are being sold in other places. Hey could be a money maker and not just for the clubs.

It would make sense because the Elks/State does not allow non-members to drink while they are at the Elks to purchase Queen of Hearts tickets. This may not be policed when jackpot is low however I went there about a month ago to purchase tickets and I was not allowed to enjoy a beverage while there.
