Some things you just know if its right or wrong and taking a free trip for you and your spouse is clearly wrong whether or not it fits the definition of ethically wrong spelled out by House of Representitives eithics experts.
So the assertion by Rep. Bill Owens that he is arranging ethics training for his staff is worth a chuckle. Handling the aftermath of a kerfuffle is important, as both major candidates for Congress should know.
In this case, how about "I was wrong, I'm sorry, it won't happen again."
Don't get me wrong, these things are often dangled in front of lawmakers.
It had been a common practice for school officials to get trips to Florida resorts to help them as they decided on multi million dollar construction awards.
The Congressman has handed his opponent a significant issue in a race sure to get nasty as the months drone on.

Ha! He is so stupid he might forget to breath.
First he takes a freebie that compromises his election chances and then he helps his opponent get mileage out of it! He should have just been indignant about the whole thing and let it pass.
His real ethics laps was when he voted for Obamacare. If he has any knowledge of business like his advocates claim he has, then he knew the budget office was lying when they said it was revenue neutral. He knew none of us wanted him to vote for it. He knew health care dollars are finite and wasting them on zero copay birth control while stealing money from grandmas medicare was the wrong priority and unethical.
Let him take all the free trips he can milk out of the job for all I care. It is the free everything he voted for in Obamacare that is the epitome of unethical.
My my Mayor, 'Significant' I doubt it, the watchdog groups want to investigate the lobbyist group headed up by D'amato and the Cultural University who owens paid back in full at the first hint of wrong doing. This isn't a character issue,to find those you have you have to go to your guy Matt Doheny who can't keep his hands to himself.

Then about his groping a staff memeber in Washington just let Seymour handle it... Its just two friend fooling around... What Owens/Pelosi is saying is it wasn't his fault, or his reponsibility. Therefore his STAFF will receive ethics training. What a complete coward. He should stand up and say he is sorry, not blame his staff.
"Staff to take ethics training".
Translation: Staff is being trained on how to cover such things up so we don't get caught the next time.
The above statement is tonque-in-cheek, but I'll bet my dollar to your stale ginger snap that's there is an element of truth to it, too.
