Bonnie Castle Resort and Marina Begins Revival

The once elegant but recently flagging Bonnie Castle Resort is fluffing up its image, starting with a new website. The place has a great location overlooking the Village of Alexandria Bay and the St. Lawrence River....but boy, when I was at the Polar Dip this winter, the place was looking tired.

Bring back Alexander's Ragtime and the Swinger while you're at it.

One big problem all these places have is that no one from fort Drum knows about them. I just met a couple from the base and they don't even know about the zoo. Where are the big signs in Watertown showing what we have in the area? Time to take them away from the car companys and help the people who put money into these places make it back. The county needs to put out some ads on radio and TV too. We have so much for the young guys and girls to do and they don't know.

Maybe they dont want Fort Drum to know about them. It's a resort area and the less Fort Drum people the better. That's why people like Lake Placid, because there's no rift raft.

Rift Raft? Best get that straight.

Why are the tourists better than Army families, or as 6:23 referred, "Fort Drum people."? What a stupid statement! Gee, I wonder how many "Fort Drum people" are also tourists?

The more Fort Drum people the better, I say!

I guess you (6.23) forgot that PEOPLE from Fort Drum are just that, people. I have met people here from Florida who are rift raff. I have met real nice people from Florida. Same with the young men and wpmen from the post. Remeber only a small amount of them ever rob stores or get caught driving drunk. What, maybe 100 out of any given year? 100 out of thousands? That's a small amount of people.
