Here's another one the taxpayer should not be paying to investigate. If a clerk is abusing a customer rewards program, that should be dealt with internally and the person fired. The store can choose to restore the rewards to the customers who lost their coupons.
Coupons or internal rewards used as a sales promotion are not the problem of the police, or society as a whole.

I disagree. Considering all the money we spend on enforcing other minor crimes, this crime should be considered just as important. That is the problem with society today...we don't enforce the rules. And obvious rule as old as human is that you don't' steal, be coupons or gold. But a rule such as a 20 year old drinking...a rule that many don't agree with and is relatively new...that gets all kinds of money spent on enforcement.
Yup, agree. The lady would have had her hand chopped off in any other country. She should feel lucky to just give up a job and maybe pay some people back. That's what should happen. Make her stay at work and pay it back to the hard working people who got taken by her.
