WDT: Explanation Sought

Sometimes people seek the ultimate in clarity when life is never black and white.
The change in administration in City Hall has happened and it was not a sudden decision, nor was taken lightly. It was also not unusual.
Changes of administration commonly occur in governments or private industry. In the end it's the judgment of those duly elected, as is what happens next.
Events of the past few months are over and City lawmakers are focused on doing their job which is to hire an administrator to carry out the policies they devise.
In the meantime a responsible choice has been made for an interim manager. This weekend council members will be taking their first look at applicants for the permanent appointment.
This is how change happens, as unsettling or inexplicable as it may seem to some at the time.

Jeff; I believe you dodged the issue ,period. You ,nor anyone else, has explained the logic.I don't care how much political prowess ,you, or anyone else,on the city council, claim to profess; but I do not see "transparent" government, in any one of you. If communication gets you fired, then why is Ms. Burns still on the city council? Government ,is of the people,by the people, for the people. It's time for you and the council to explain why Mrs. Corriveau was let go ,and why is Ms. Burns, still on the city council.

Amen Rick Aldrich. I've seen private industry CEO's canned with more info as to why they were fired than with this supposedly public employee. What is the City Council hiding? Why can't they tell us, the taxpayers, why our City Manager was let go. Graham and Macaluso are now tainted like the other three for their refusal to shed light and willingness to condone this miscarriage of justice. If the Mayor or any council members get voted out next time around, they can always run for some school board. They now have the required experience at dodging the public.

Mary made that job look like a piece of cake, and now we'll see what will happen. Meanwhile, I have listed my last property in Watertown because of this.
Officials are elected who can't even figure out how to write a job description, so they buy one for $10 grand.
Then the search process is so headachy they offer the interim job to the headhunter, for $600/DAY.
Proving that running a small city really is rocket science.

Here's a good idea; Hire a guy who lost his city manager job as a consultant to find a new city manager. Pay him $600/day to find that person and pay him a $10,000 stipend to find . . . wait for it . . .
HIMSELF! Maybe you should let the city manage itself.

Actually, Mr. Krol retired from his O-Burg job several years ago under very good circumstances.
The commenter is confusing his tenure with Art Sciorra who was recently fired in the Maple City after the Knox Street Affair.
