THIEVES !.....Commercial Oven Stolen For All to See

I know a lot of people adhere to "if it's free it's for me".  But when you make it free  by stealing it in broad daylight on a busy city street...Now that's brazen.
This morning I put an oven I was selling out front of Fort Pearl. It was on a cart with signs that said "Oven for Sale."  It's a chrome finished baking oven with a glass door that we used for pizzas and other items. I now use a small appliance for that and wanted to sell this one, so I put it out front.
I was doing some cleaning in the rear of the building and I came out and it was gone.
It would require two people to lift it and it was between 10 and 11 this morning on busy Pearl Street.
     Pretty brazen act....
It's not something you would use at home, so its likely a retailer or someone planning to fence to a retailer who took it.
      People never cease to amaze.
If you saw anything or know who took it, give me a call at 486-0879.

Be glad they didn't steal your Fort Pearl sign as well. lol! Never heard of a lock and chain I take it. Crime is going up in town if you haven't noticed.

Someone stealing it for the scrap value?

Typical move for low life Watertown scum!

Scrap metal down the road might pay 20 bucks.
You should move to the south side.

Sorry for your loss, but it isn't a "Fort" unless you treat it like one.

waaa---waaa maybe they wernt paying attention to the sign or perhaps they were in a hurry to get home to sober up and take their makeup off so they could prepare a lie for the cops when they get there lmao

i bet if you check with scrap metal places you'll find it and they do take your drivers license.
Hope this helps

Jeff, I got it. I'm sorry. I'll return it right after I'm through cooking Easter dinner with it.

Maybe someone thought it was a FreeOven if it was left out on the sidewalk. In these days of Obama, most everything is free. My advice to you is to drive around, find one like it, declare it Free, grab it, and take it home.

Sorry for your loss but really....for someone complaining about thievery how about getting Schultz and Dooley off your header.

Just too many lowlife scum in Watertown and in Ogdensburg . Thanks Prisons and Fort Drum and your camp followers

Check Craiglist you can probably pick it up cheap! That is pretty crappy.

That's right 1:36pm, it's Obama's fault. You left out Pelosi and Owens.
It's there fault too.

Whoever stole it probably couldn't read.

Can't say I'm surprised. We had some low-life steal our Halloween Globe right off our front porch. 7 foot inflated globe, fan and all.

SERIOUSLY???? You are the mayor of Watertown... you live in Watertown and you are honestly surprised that someone would do this? Now THAT surprises (shocks) me!

Man, crime in this town..on the scanner last night, someone ran over a stop sign and hit a house on W Mullin St,then left the scene. Can there be any hit and run drivers who live close by?

Because the best thing to do with anything of value is to leave it unattended on the side of the road...

Why set it out on curb. Why not sell on craigslist and such? Do you think if i was selling my bike that i would put on curb with a sign? Dont blame others for capitalizing on your ignorance. With all your ins throughout the city, you only had the one option to sell on a curb that only airbrake employees and fort drummies drive on? I bet you put out with no sign so people would come in to ask about and you would hopefully swindle a beer out of them.

2.39 pm said it, nailed it.

I live in these area and I am ready to move on.
It gets worse every year. More druggies and low lives moving in that part of town.
Thanks to section 8 and Fort Drum camp followers.

Last chrismas day morning some one stole all our chrismas decoration from our frontlawn.
I was very sad all day, what kind of low life would to this to a family on chrismas day.

Watertown is going down the drain, if more people with no values and no respect for the property of others will move in.

I feel sorry for my neighbors, who try to sell their house after living in this neighborhood for over 30 years.

I am surprised that you reported this seeing how you where not much of a reporter when you worked as one.

Leave it to the holes that run this city they do not care about what Watertown lost all they care about is the $$$ When they sold us out.And are still selling us out.

For drug money, no one seems to realize how bad the issue really is. And you do live on Pearl St. ?? Did you expect anything less?

This is pathetic. Everyone blaming Ft. Drum soldiers for everything that is wrong with this town. Let me tell you all something if it wasnt for Drum this town would dissapear of the damn map. Everyone wants to blame a soldier. If all you people love your freedom you need to thank a soldier. Since your not brave enough to join yourself.

Hey 1107 UR right, down the drain we go meanwhile PJ laughing all the way to the bank after cashing in on a county built unneeded road, PILOTS abound to improve the life for some folks and it impacts others in a negative way...

Anonymous said...

All you people blaming watertown is sickening
We live in a growing city, OBVIOUSLY crime and population grow too. And to the mayor, seriously? Free things go on the side of the road everyone knows that. Get some common sense. And if we're not blaming watertown then we're blaming fort drum!! Unbelievable. You people need to GROW UP!

Can't say that I feel sorry for you... as one person on here put it,"you put it on the curb." Seriously, you are supposed to be the smart one... You couldn't think of any-other-way-to-sell-it? Wow.

This is a sad case of self-persecution. It's when an individual can't understand why others are saying mean things to them while they are wearing a 'kick me' sign on their back. You put your personal item out on the curb and expected something 'nice' to happen? You are completley oblivious to what's going on around you.

Yet Vlad Tsepesh was able to leave a golden cup at the public fountain in Sighisoara, a cup no one dared steal.

Of course no one was going to steal Vlad the Impaler's golden cup,he was a goddam vampire and probly left bloodstains on the lip of the cup..yuck..
