It doesn't matter now as the damage is done, but the former Copenhagen student who had accused SU Assistant Coach Bernie Fine of sexually abusing him now tells TV 3 that he never met Fine and made it all up.
Zach Tomiselli did the interview as he readied to serve a three year prison term for sexually abusing a child in Maine.
Their are still other accusations that had led to Fine's departure, but the recanting by Tomaselli shows how dangerous such allegations are.

Oh this has got to hurt the gay lesbian transgender I wanna be different community. But wait a minute, didn't they already destroy Bernie Fine's life? Awww, and wasn't Boeheim being insensitive? Well now, they can put all that back just where they found it. Reputations are easy to repair. Just like that case in Florida where the mob finally got the arrest they wanted. Being politically correct sometimes hits a bump now and then. Can't be helped. Oh well, as long as it ain't you.

Much has been said any much learned about the strange relationship by Fine and his wife with Syracuse athletes over the years.. Boeheim has been protected by the Syracuse media but his volatile remarks certainly were uncalled for. Syracuse has certainly been a good NBA recruiting ground but obviously puts education second in their agenda.. I personally feel Boeheim knew what went on and turned the other way like Paterno did.. Also haunting Syracuse is banned substance allegations were they let players play even if they failed tests for these substances.. It all boils down to this, Some schools and institutions do it right and do best for the kids some are all about the money that athletics bring in... Its not hard to figure out where Syracuse stands.. All about the money and records for Boeheim....
Now he'll have many new friends in prison. I hope he likes the sausage in the can, and I'm not talking about Spam.
Once again...yelling fire in a theater gets the building emptied and gets you a better seat...but no fire is evident. This is the always unfortunate results of accusations like this and others of equally destructive nature. Now, how does this accused get his/her reputation back...they don't. Their lives have changed forever and they are forced to live with the sad results. Anything that happens to this loser is now not enough. I am not defending Bernie Finer...I am disparaging his accuser and the MSM for carrying the torch to far without facts to substantiate. Where is Walter Cronkite when we need him? Sad commentary...
Gosh what a surprise,almost as big a surprise as ESPN failing to make any mention of this today..I wonder why,considering their reporter Schwarz orchestrated the phone call between Davis and this psychopath.Maybe if they close their eyes and click their heels together three times,this will just go away,though I doubt it.If charges aren't brought against Fine,you can bet there will be a huge defamation lawsuit,and ESPN and the Post Standard will likely be leaders on the hit parade..
Sexual crime accusations are documented to be patently false over a third of the time but since it is almost always a male being accused by a female, and we don't want a war on women, we will assume guilt until proven otherwise.
What I don't understand is that this was a homo making the accusation so it is not part of the war on women. Oh wait...gays get special treatment too...never mind.
I dont know about special treatment. Boeheim got the special treeatment by the media...We all know Fine is a pedifile. We all know Fines wife is a neglected woman who used athletes to forfill her desires. We all know Boeheim had to be at least aware that this was going on to some extent but turned his head on it.. The university fired him period and hss he filed any suits.. No... Why?? Because its true...
Now we want to know what involvement Boehiem had in keeping it quiet and ignoring it.. The Syracuse boosters help sponsor athletics in this community so the university can ignore rules set by the NCAA.. The substance abuse that the players failed.. Boeheim was quick to say I never new in any canse... Thats the way its supposed to be.. Whoever does the test is not to tell the coach is he.... How come so many Syracuse players leave school early.. I cant say I blame them but Boeheim does not help sway them.. Why ????
