Entertainers who decide to emote politics have to realize it can affect the pocket book.
Ardent Republican and Motor City Madman Ted Nugent has lost a gig playing at an Army post after his inflammatory comments about the President led to a visit from the Secret Service (although those visits have a snicker factor these days too).
I don't believe Nugent is on the summer fare for the Fairgrounds here in Watertown.

He should have put a hit out on Zimmerman instead, and then no one would question him in the least.
I don't think Ted cares one bit!
I still tour like a man possessed, because I am.~ Ted Nugent
Absolutely the right decision... just like when Fort Drum cancelled Mike Gallagher's radio show on post after he blasted Clinton when she was a Senator.
So what took so long to dump Olberman? Oh wait a minute...
he was targeting the right.
Dannie alway advocates for shutting down people who disagree with him. Free Speach was won of those things you fought for when you served in the motor pool. What a disappointment you are.
While I think it was dumb for the man to make statements that sounded like it could be adanger to the President, free speech as far as I know still rains free. All it hurt was the guys who wanted a good show. Because I bet after the contracts get read and the ink drys, some one still will get paid for the concerts the Army hacked. The stars will still shine on Ted.
You say they have a snicker factor nowadays....how about Scott Gray saying the Legislature needs to get involved in the antics of the Sheriffs Dept. Isn't he the pot calling the kettle black...just saying.
$50 million is a snicker or an antic if you are a free stuff kind of guy.
for the rest of us it is an absurd amount of money the county could be on the hook for and rightly should intervene in.
Anon 12:33... this is not about agreeing or disagreeing with anyone - Nugent was way off base. Way off.
Free speech may be ugly and nasty and he underscores it - I voiced my view - um... is that free speech, too, by your standards? Doubtful...
