Where is he now ?
As his commercials gradually work their way out of rotation on NNY airwaves, Rick DeFranco lives his new life far away from the North Country...He is in Helena ,MT where he lives with his new wife Chris.
According to Facebook, Rick works in radio but he has appeared on Big Sky television.
Rick was one of the most liked local personalities and was smooth on the air.

I want to see a pic of this lady that he left NNY for. She must be special. Why else would someone leave this utopian enclave of socialism?

He didn't really fit in with the TV7 newsteam anymore. He was over 21 He also and knew how to talk without accentuating every word with his hands. By the way, when was the last time they broke a real news story? John Moore and the guy in St. Lawrence County are the only real newspeople at 7. Anybody remember Tompkins, Mastellon, Rich?
11:14 ; you are right with your asessment. The other morning I heard something that goes like this " today will be mostly cloudy", pause," that's why we have a lot of clouds".And that's from our over 21, weather girl.
TV 7 should have hired Carrie Cheevers from YNN.
I heard Rick on an Ogdensburg or Massena(?) radio station giving a weather report a couple of months ago. Streaming audio from Montana maybe?
At least he didn't have his eyes closed when he did the weather like John Kubis does!!!!
