It's time for legislators to stop with the laws named after people...or laws that take their cue from the game of baseball and claim that 'three strikes and you are out."
Everytime a new law is proposed claiming to solve a problem that is already against the law, I am suspicious.
Everyone in Albany is a Felix Ortiz wannabe....Including the Republicans.

I don't mind driving drunk, (I do it all the time), but I sure as hell am not going to drive if they take my license.
Roxie has 2 to go.........
Anonymous 8:00 -- good one. When the next trooper pulls you over, ask him to hold your beer while you look for your docs and act dumb.
I think the new law is okay for a number of rational obvious reasons. Enforcing it will be the proof in the pudding as they say.
It's more like three strikes and now you are driving without a card to say it's legal law. How many of these people now get caught every week and they don't have a piece of paper to say it's okay to drive? Ive seen several as of late. It won't work. It just adds to the charges on the next pull over. Think about it, say I don't have a card to prove my driving skills.....You going to take it away again?
I don't know Dan, you and your ilk love that same theory when it comes to gun laws. We already have a zillion laws covering every aspect of ownership, from waiting periods, registration, stand on your head while you buy, don't shoot kids, I mean its pretty well all covered. There are books full of gun laws. But you and yours always seem to want one more. Like it will do any good. Just like drunk driving laws. Only people who care about the law obey the law. And as you say, the proof is in the pudding. How can you display such logic on one aspect of your life and be such a fool in another? Or is that what your political party told you to do?
Why don't Danny and his ilk just make it a crime to be a criminal? Poof! All crime disappears.
