WDT: Endorsee and Endorser Estranged

When reading this letter I thought of the monks in Vietnam immolating themselves in the street to make a point.  Wow, this was a strong letter.
I know Milly to be a stong woman of convictions who says what's on her mind and she certainly did so today.

VERY well written.

Don't fret about it. the Johnsons will have some "Senior Fellow" from a Super Pac answer for them. After all, they get their "expert opinions" for free, while us poor folks have to pay for The WDT.

Just be careful though. Paybacks from these powerful folks can be hell. Remember what they did to Bonnie Bettinger.

Correction to Mrs Smiths letter....Jeff Smith is NOT a surgeon. He is a surgical PA. Very big difference.

What happen to your post?

But....It's a she said he said deal in the end. Jeffs best bet was to just say.... No comment. But he took it on to make a comment. As far as the comment that he never lied, he was asked during the election if he was going to let Mary go. I believe I heard he had no plans to do so. Could be wrong. I heard the story about Mary not taking a suggested person's job interest from Jeff. It has been said he was mad about that. Could be another lie?

Gee,is he Jeff Smith or Ghandi?

That was a well-written letter.

The arrogance and lack of professionalism coming out of the offices at 260 Washington has grown substantially over the last 10 years. I've seen it, and felt it personally. Maybe this has something to do with electronic media and declining circulation, maybe not. All I know is that one day, maybe soon, it's going to land them in court, and I for one can't wait.

Defamation? You might want to talk to a good lawyer. And for what its worth, its about time.

After all, he's a friend of Secretary McHugh's. They were a team early in their careers and are still pretty tight-----Civilian Aide, right?

Justin....Holy crap. Get some time with a doctor man. Get some rest. You are going to fall over.

If that is good writing then I would hate to read bad writing.
What was her point again?

Funny that manger evaluations are revealed to the public but the alleged shortcomings of the city manager are too sensitive to talk about in open public.

Wow. Neat temper tantrum. And a follow up by the unemployed education major himself. I read the editorial and I don't see the cause for all this. And Mikey, your man lost the election. If you had kept your mouth shut he would have had a better chance of winning. But what are the chances of you ever keeping your mouth shut?

I guess if the reporters don't like an answer they just make one up. Reporter may need to get a job for "Globe" OR "Star". Seems like they should be concerned about Roxanne Burns (DWI? I would be fired in my job) more than the man that didn't get elected. Or the fact that "Big Brother's/Big Sister's is shut down due to lack of "funds"... Sad when the person in charge makes more money than 90% of the people in the county and can't help the one's that need it the most (the kids). Very nice letter by the way.

In this article, l think Doc Millie should of left things alone.
Know a dream shot surgeon will have to make his day baby sitting.
Jeff l hope your medical decisions are better than your council decisions, like the one against Mary. You should of ouseted Roxanne, first council member arrested for being drunk.

Remember When Jeff Smith had his DWI, and he was on the county Board, Anyone demand his resignation?

Smith performs the most surgically challenging procedures? What would that be? A pancreatoduodenectomy?

If Smith took the city manager job he would have a 50% reduction pay.
Lets see...
X - 50%x = 102k
.05x = 102k
x = 204k
Smith Earns 204k per annum? Is she bragging or complaining?
Maybe Marry should take Smiths job and get a 100% increase in pay?

Love how she had to add that taking the city manager position would be a 50% reduction in his pay! Like we need anymore evidence on how much these 2 are above us common people. And wow a coach, referee, father, surgeon, business owner, and someone who spends 100's of hours a week improving the city! Does this guy ever sleep? Maybe that's the cause of the irritability.

There the ruling class, Remember when he shut Keyes Ave down for his Birthday Party? How about the parking issue at the Ice Arena? For an up and comer he didnt last long with the county BOS. Conserve energy Drive a HUMMER.

I think his birthday party was at the Italian American Club, don't think he has driven a Hummer in almost a decade. I do remember he got a parking ticket at arena, but what does this have to do with the contents of the letter his wife wrote? "The ruling class", I know Mr. & Mrs. Smith and what the came from and it was no ruling class or silver spoon. But there was that time when they were in first grade... oh, the letter.

Him and the wife need to learn one answer....

No Comment....Cause we are not interested.

Behind every good man is a woman with a strong convictions and the courage to say what's on her mind blah blah blah...very PC Jeff.

WOW - I don't normally post comments on these types of boards, but I can't resist. Those of you that don't like the way the city council runs thing should climb out from behind their keyboards and run for a council seat. That way the rest of us can sit back and pick all your decisions apart.

Those that can - do - -those that can't - complain!

Okay. I can't wait. Thanks for the good idea. When does he come up for election? I need to save money for hats and shirts.

You heard the girl! No one post a comment or an opinion here again! you must run for office and win to have an opinion or comment!

Good Lord! Someone call a doctor to surgically remove the stick!!

Now wait a minute-the whitewash job from that letter makes him look like mother theresa, and for people to say the public can't voice concern over city governing decisions unless they run for office is just plain wrong. Not all of us can afford to run, or have the popularity to garner the monetary support of our political parties, but that doesn't make our concern in our city any less.I for one find it troubling that Mr Smith allegedly said he had no intention of terminating the city manager during election season, then got the support and did so last week.Mr Graham has made clear that the issues she did not perform adequately were well within their ability to correct, but it appears that was not good enough and only a termination would suffice, announced to the mayor five minutes before the meeting. If it is true that this is retaliation for not considering a friend of Mr Smith for the city parks and rec job, yeah I have a concern about that and I think other people should too..

Hey 1114 Keyes Ave was shut down a number of years ago for a party hosted by Jeff Smith.
