Despite instances where he stammered and "grasped for balance" , Mitt Romney did well enough with his tightly scripted presentation to avoid peril to his frontrunner status and his likely path to the GOP nomination.

The informal Drudge Report poll shows Paul & Gingrich slaughtered the 3 stooges as respondents gave 68% of the vote split between the two as "winning" the debate.

Look, Romney is playing the old "it's my turn" GOP game. He ain't got game otherwise.

I sure hope Mitt was pulling his punches because it looked like Santorum and Newt got the best of him and then some. Paul was a dolt as usual.

Voting for Romney because he has "the best chance to beat the other guy" is a race to the bottom of the barrel...
